Overview

Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear (CCLCF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing healthcare in southeastern North Carolina. Their mission is to support patients and providers through community care teams, implementing innovative methods to deliver comprehensive care management and navigation.

Problem: The Community Care of the Lower Cape Fear website presented challenges such as complex navigation, poor accessibility, and an outdated design. Users struggled to find information quickly, and the site did not fully support individuals with disabilities. The content was disorganized, leading to a confusing and inefficient user experience.

Solution: Currently redesigning the website by simplifying the navigation, enhancing accessibility features, and modernizing the visual design. I restructured the content for better organization and ensured the site was mobile-friendly. These updates aimed to improve usability, increase user engagement, and make the platform more inclusive.

I am currently awaiting approval to be able to continue designing the remaining pages. This is a work in progress but I wanted to show what I have done so far.

Competitive Analysis

After the initial stakeholder interview, I conducted a competitive analysis to understand industry standards, identify user expectations, and find opportunities for differentiation. Emphasis was placed to create a more user-friendly, accessible, and visually appealing website that not only meets the needs of CCLCF’s target audience but also stands out in the competitive landscape.

Primary Persona

Empathizing with the needs and frustrations that I found during my research, I defined who would be using this product. The primary persona remained central in every design decision and allowed me to peek through the lens of who would use CCLCF's website.
