Hi, I'm Daniela!

I’m currently learning how to knit (again). Hopefully it sticks this time. Design has always been part of who I am. Creativity runs in my family, my grandmother is incredibly artistic and as a kid, I spent hours sketching, painting, and experimenting with graphic and web design. I even built my own Jonas Brothers fan website (no regrets).

Growing up in a Hispanic household, creativity wasn’t exactly seen as a “safe” career path. Medicine or law were the practical options, so I followed a different route and earned a degree in public health, driven by a desire to help my community and make a meaningful impact.

After four years working in healthcare, I realized something was missing. What I loved most about my work wasn’t the clinical side, it was listening, explaining, guiding people through confusing systems, and helping them feel supported. Rediscovering design felt like coming home. It allowed me to combine creativity with purpose.

Today, as a UX/UI designer, I bring my healthcare and customer service background into every project. I design with empathy, clarity, and real people in mind, especially in spaces where trust matters. To me, design isn’t just about how something looks. It’s about making things easier to understand, less frustrating to use, and genuinely helpful.

That’s what keeps me excited about this work.
